2007 Quilt "Along the Camino Real"  a conception from Don Beld.  Members embroidered the blocks that trace the history of California missions. The center block features San Juan Capistrano, with its migration of the swallows.   The appliquéd border, of California Wildflowers, was designed by Jan Windhausen.  Many dedicated CBQ appliqué aficionados stitched the border design.  The quilt was assembled by Jan and Bernice Wayman.  Bernice dedicated many hours in the machine quilting process.
Blossoms in Moonlight
In 2005, led by Robin Grube, "Blossoms in Moonlight" was appliqued by members and exquisitely machine quilted by Bernice Wayman. A fellow quilter from Temecula won this treasure, after purchasing only ONE ticket. The quilt was awarded a first prize in its category at the 2006 Road to California Quilt Show.
